You went to Team → Invite member, entered an email address, got a "success" confirmation — but the person isn't in the Team overview. In nine out of ten cases the invitation actually went through; what you're seeing is a role or visibility difference, not a bug. The four causes below cover almost every case.
First: wait 30 seconds and refresh
There is sometimes a small delay between the invite and the person appearing in the Team overview. Before troubleshooting, refresh the page (Ctrl/⌘ + R) once. If they still don't show up, it's one of the four reasons below.
Reason 1 — they were invited as a guest user (most common)
TenderB has two distinct access types:
Team members — workspace-level access, appear in the Team overview, can be added to multiple projects.
Guest users — invited at the project level, scoped to that single project, and never appear in the Team overview by design.
If you (or a colleague) earlier invited the person as a guest on a specific project, they already exist in the system as a guest user. A subsequent attempt to invite them as a team member can show "success" but won't surface them in the Team overview — the existing guest record can block a clean re-invite at the team level until it's cleaned up.
How to confirm: open the project where they were originally invited → Settings → Team. If they appear there but not in the global Team overview, they're a guest. That's the explanation.
How to fix: ask support via the in-app chat to convert the guest user into a full team member. Alternatively, if they don't actually need workspace-wide access, leave them as a guest on the relevant projects — that's working as designed.
Reason 2 — they haven't accepted the invitation yet
TenderB sends an invitation email. The person appears in the Team overview only after they click the link in that email and complete the sign-up. Until then, the invitation sits in a pending state visible to admins, but not yet as a visible team member.
How to check: ask the invitee whether the email arrived. Arrived but not clicked → they need to click. Not arrived → see Reason 3.
Reason 3 — the invitation email didn't arrive
Ask the invitee to check their spam/junk folder.
Confirm the email address you typed is correct (typos happen more often than you'd expect).
Some corporate mail gateways strip transactional invitation emails. If that's happening, the invitee's IT will need to allowlist
[email protected](or your workspace-specific sender, if one is configured).
Reason 4 — there's already a pending invitation on file
If the same email address was used for an earlier invitation that hasn't been accepted yet, a second invite can return "success" without creating a new pending record. Cancel the earlier pending invite and re-send, or ask support to clear the duplicate pending record.
How to add a real team member (not a guest)
Go to Team in the left sidebar — the workspace-level Team page, not the team list inside a project.
Click Invite member.
Enter the email address.
Choose the role (admin / member / etc.).
Save. The invitee receives an email and appears in the Team overview once they accept.
When to escalate
If you've checked all four causes — guest status, pending acceptance, email delivery, and duplicate invite — and the person still isn't visible, escalate via Fin in the chat. Include: the invitee's email address, your workspace name, the project (if any) where you previously invited them, and a screenshot of the success confirmation. With those four items support can look directly at the underlying user record and unblock you in minutes.
