A colleague can't see a shared project chat

Being a project team member doesn't give access to all chats. To share a specific chat, open that chat's Settings, add the colleague by name, and click Save.

Why a colleague can't see a shared chat

Being added to a project team gives access to the project, but does not automatically give access to every individual chat within that project. Chats can be shared separately, and each chat has its own access settings.

How to share a specific chat with a colleague

  1. Open the chat you want to share.

  2. Click the Settings icon (⚙️) for that chat.

  3. Find the team/people section and add your colleague by name or email address.

  4. Click Save. This step is required — changes are not saved automatically.

Once saved, the colleague will see the chat appear in their Conversations list for that project.

What to check if it's still not working

  • Confirm that the colleague is looking in the correct project — chats are tied to a specific project.

  • Ask the colleague to refresh the page (Ctrl + R or ⌘ + R) after you have saved the settings.

  • Verify that the colleague's name appears in the chat settings after saving.
